Ross Sandler is Jersey City's jack of all trades! He is a busy performer, singing with J.C.'s acapella doo wop group The Prom Dates while his oldest current project, Crewman Number Six is a rock band that involves 17 years of writing and singing. Still, this only begins to express the scope and dynamic range of his passion for performance.
Many know him as a choreographer and dance performer, teaching children dance and choreographing for Michele's Dance Studio (Michelesdancestudio.com) by day and making regular appearances in Jersey City's Modern Dance Festival Your Move as a performer and choreographer with SandlerArts. Ross holds a BFA in Modern Dance and Choreography from Ohio University and has shown and performed in dance works from NYC to Tokyo.
Lately, Ross has also been creating a buzz while spreading joy and making bodies bounce to the grooves of his original soul-pop-funk-rock band The Love Network. Rocking NYC and White Eagle Hall last year, Sandler is the band leader, writing, playing guitar and singing the songs for what is becoming one of the areas new favorite bands. Ross says "Our mission in The Love Network, and in life, is Love. We plan to radiate positive energy and bring people together for moments of groove and joy." Hudson County's greatest musicians often sit in for exciting guest spots at The Love Network Shows. Be on the lookout for collaborations betweenThe Love Network music and the SandlerArts dance projects this summer. Sandler is also looking forward to being the new front man of NJ's Premiere '80s tribute band, Say80Thing!
